Sport and celebrations take a back seat as we all think of the dreadful accident in Creeslough our thoughts are with the community and the families who have suffered gravely.🙏🙏


Thanks to  everyone who attended the Avondale United 50th Anniversary Celebration Dinner last evening and delighted that the Mullane family got the recognition for the endless service to Avondale over so many years and also to club PRO Noel Long  .


On the football front our Junior Premier team advanced in the Munster Junior Cup but defeats for our 19s in the semi final of the league cup while heartbreak for our Senior team losing 2-1 to College Corinthians the winning goal coming deep into injury time and our Junior A team lost 3-1 in the Munster Cup 


Our Girls Under 15s continued the good run winning 5-1 over Ringmahon 


Pat Kelly's book "It Happened by Chance" was launched last Thursday evening definitely worth reading and all proceeds go to Marymount Hospice, The Mercy Hospital and Alzheimer Society of Ireland. Check  Pat Kelly Ref. Com to get your copy.
