    Avondale 1. College Corinthians 2


Pure and utter heartbreak as Cors snatched the 3 points in Avondale Park today. The opening goal came on 13 mins when a ball play wide to Matthew Mckevitt and he cut in on goal putting it across the 6 yards box and it was turned in by an unfortunate defender.. 


The Cors keeper Darragh Newman produced two excellent saves before the break on 38 mins when Matthew Mckevitt was played in on goal but he came out to save with his outstretched foot and on 40 mins when Matthew Mckevitt raced from the half way line played in across to Frank Mckevitt but Newman turned it away for a corner.  


Newman made another tremendous save on 50 mins denying Jake O'Callaghan from close range. On 86 mins Cors made it 1-1 when Bosniek found Crowley to score from close range and 5 mins into injury time Newman. collected the ball from a corner  took a quick throwout to Cooper wide  who found Skieters who put it  back to Cooper and he flicked it to Manley who scored from close range to break the Dale's hearts.  Man of the Match was the outstanding Darragh Newman in the Cors goal.
