It was a busy weekend with some great results the photos at end of this article are from Avondale Club twitter . In the youth and adult section a 6-1 win for our 19s with Evan Hegarty on fire scoring 4 goals in the win. Both our Junior teams advanced in the Munster Cup

In Schoolboy section our 12s Premier team went down 2-0 to Corinthians and our 13s Premier team went down 4-2 to Carrigaline while both our 14s had wins our first team winning 6-0 away to Kinsale and our second team winning 2-1 away to Leeds

In the girls section our 14s won 4-0 away to Passage with Lucy Moore the star performer with 3 goals while our 17s won 3-0 away to Riverstown. Our Under 12s went down 2-1 to a strong Kilworth side.

Great numbers are attending our Friday night academy in Ashton for Girls and Ursulines for Boys. See poster below for times, venues and age groups.

WE have one more podcast to broadcast celebrating Avondale United 50th year in football and episode 7 the final one in this series features Ken Bruton and this will be released soon.

Numbers are booking up fast for our Celebration Dinner on Saturday 8th October in Rochestown Park Hotel. It promises to be a great night.
