The inclement weather conditions forced all of Sundays Fixtures to be postponed so a chance to get the weekly round up posted today .

On Saturday a 5 star performance from our Under 19s who had a 5-1 win over Mallow and a man of the Match performance from Jonah Obode with goals from Ross Cunningham, Tom McCarthy, Tom Higgins and two from Evan Hegarty, wonderful goals all round. Our Under 17s Premier team went down 6-2 to Blarney.

In the Schoolboy section our Under 13s continued their winning run with a hard fought win away to College Corinthians when Ralph Nagle headed home in the last minute of the game.

In the Schoolgirls section our Under 12s went down narrowly to a very good Fermoy team, our goalscorer Leila Crilly with a spectacular goal.

Our 5th podcast as part of our 50th Celebrations will be broadcast this evening.

Brendan McCarthy and the Avondale Celebration Dinner group are putting the final touches to what promises to be a great night as we celebrate our 50th Anniversary in football on Saturday 8th October in Rochestown Park Hotel.

Finally a good news story. Victor Serdeniuk a 26 year old Ukrainian who played in the Ukrainian premier league and who was training with our Senior team in Carrigaline just over 2 weeks ago was on the bench in the Europa Conference League last Thursday after he signed for Shamrock Rovers. We wish Victor every success in the future.
