Sometimes a scoreline doesn't give a true reflection and it truth this was one of them  Midleton got off to a flyer and took the lead after one minute when a cross deep on the left was was crashed home at far post from 6 yards from Arkinrinbola.. The striker doubled his tally on 39 Mins when O'Leary was dispossessed when attacking and Arkinrinbola cut in on goal and his shot took a deflection past Billy McCarthy. The Dale's were reduced to 10 players when Shovlin was red carded for dissent just before the interval .  


Dave O'Leary made it 2-1 on 47 mins when his free kick from the edge of the area beat the keeper on near post. On 58 mins it was 2-2 when Richie Tobin headed home following indicision by Midleton defence but within a minute Midleton lead 3-2 when Dalys shot inside the area took a wicked deflection past McCarthy. 


Matt Lambe made it 4 - 2 from a terrific free kick on 71 mins  and Eoin Healy made it 5-2 on 75 mins.. The Dale's never gave up and David Hogan saw his headed effort come back off the crossbar... Thanks to Joe Seward our Match Ball Sponsor...
