The Dale Weekly Round Up
Saturday was an emotional day for our 19s Premier team when they finished their youth football days but they did it in style beating Coll Corinthians 3-2 in Castletreasure with Amir Khorchani (2) and Morgan Cian on target. Well done to the coaches Stephen McCarthy, Aidan Scally and Frank Ahern for all dedication to Avondale Football Club over many years
Our seniors lost out on penalties to Douglas Hall in the O'Connell Cup while our Junior Premier team scored two late goals to beat Douglas Hall 3-2 in the league but our Junior A team lost 4--1 to Mayfield.

Our 13s drew 2-2 away to Macroom Luka Squillaciotti and Max Dietze with the goals and the 12s Premier team also drew 2-2 away to Springfield Ramblers
.
The best was kept for Sunday afternoon in Beaumont Park in an enthralling cup tie when our under 17s girls team came from 2-0 down at the break to win 3-2 our goalscorers Fiona Quirke, Beth McCarthy and Lizzy Grey with the winning goal setting off great celebrations among players and supporters .
Lots of young academy teams in action over the weekend hope the players and coaches enjoyed them .
Well done to Brian Foley our under 7 player of the week in the Ursulines on Friday night.
